Who we are
Clickyness is a pre-publish packaging scorer for YouTube creators operated at clickyness.com. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
For any privacy question or request, email ryan@clickyness.com.
What we collect
We collect only what the product needs to function. The categories below cover everything we store.
- Account data. Your email address and name, provided through Supabase Auth — either via email and password or Google OAuth sign-in.
- Uploaded thumbnails. Images you upload to be scored. Stored in Supabase Storage.
- Titles and niche metadata. The video title and any niche or context you enter alongside your thumbnail.
- Score history. Your past scores, suggestions, and coach conversations, stored in Postgres so you can review them in your dashboard.
- Billing data. A Stripe customer ID and subscription state. We do not store card numbers — Stripe handles payment details directly.
- Product analytics. Anonymized usage events and page views through PostHog.
- YouTube data (when you connect your channel). If you authorize access through Google OAuth, we request YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics scopes to read your channel info, your own video metadata, and aggregate performance signals such as view count, click-through rate, and retention. We use this only to score your packaging against your own historical performance.
How we use it
We use the data above to:
- Generate Clickyness scores and packaging suggestions.
- Power the packaging coach chat so it has your score context.
- Run billing and manage your subscription.
- Understand product usage in aggregate so we can fix bugs and improve scoring quality.
- Respond to support requests you send us.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your thumbnails, titles, or YouTube data to train machine learning models.
Third parties we share data with
We use a small number of processors to operate Clickyness. Each has access only to what they need to perform their function.
- Supabase — hosts our Postgres database, authentication, and thumbnail storage.
- Anthropic — provides the Claude API used to score packaging. When you request a score, your thumbnail image and title are sent to Anthropic for analysis. Anthropic does not retain this data for training under our API terms.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments and stores billing details.
- PostHog — captures anonymized product analytics.
- Vercel — hosts the application.
- Google — provides OAuth sign-in and, if you connect your channel, YouTube API Services.
YouTube API Services
Clickyness uses YouTube API Services when you choose to connect your YouTube channel. By connecting your channel, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Google's privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
You can revoke Clickyness's access to your Google account at any time through the Google security permissions page.
We only access YouTube data that you authorize through OAuth. We do not share your YouTube data with third parties beyond the Anthropic API call required to generate your score and suggestions, and we do not use it to train models, build advertising profiles, or serve ads.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Request an export of your score history.
- Revoke YouTube access through the Google permissions link above.
Email ryan@clickyness.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Data retention
We keep account data, score history, and uploaded thumbnails until you request deletion. Uploaded thumbnails remain in Supabase Storage indefinitely unless you delete them or your account.
Billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations, even after account deletion.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Session cookies set by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in.
- Analytics cookies set by PostHog to measure aggregate product usage.
We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
Clickyness is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided data to us, email ryan@clickyness.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the product or by email to account holders.
